Mood struggles happen. Mood struggles surrounding conception, infertility, loss, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum definitely happen.
In peer support group you can feel safe to share. It is small and confidential. It's free. Peer support has been shown to be a huge influence in recovery from mental health struggles surrounding parenthood. Many group members testify it gives them a place to look forward to sharing their struggles, feeling not alone, and learning compassion skills for themselves and others. We can learn a lot from each other as everyone has super power gifts they can share. Facilitated by a Peer Support Group facilitator with a history of perinatal (pregnancy) and postpartum mood issues allows group members to feel they can be understood and find hope for recovery. Sophie Grow is trained to facilitate a peer support group through Postpartum Support International. |
